    • Singtel unit Nxera and Telkom Malaysia break ground for 65 MW data centre campus in Johor [BT, 20240726]
      • The campus will house a 65 megawatt (MW) data centre that will support artificial-intelligence processing and other computing needs. The facility is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2026, and will be a Tier 3 data centre with redundant cooling and power to minimise downtime.
      • The data centre can be scaled up to 200 MW in response to market demand. 
  • Korea
    • AWS to invest $5bn in South Korea data centers

                • China invests $6.1 billion in computing data center project, official says. [Reuters-20280829]

                            • CyrusOne & KEPCO break ground on 48MW data center outside Osaka, Japan [DCD-20240913]
                              • "Located on a 19,695 square meter (211,975 square foot) plot in the Kansai/Keihanna area, CyrusOne KEP OSK1 will offer 48MW of IT capacity across 11,560 sqm (124,450 sq ft) of technical space within."
                              • "The four-story building will total six 8MW data halls delivered across three phases. The first 16MW phase will be operational by Q1 2028."
                              • "KKR-owned CyrusOne operates or is developing more than 40 data centers across the US and Europe, but this is the company's first expansion into Asia."
                          • India

                                    • Tata plans 1GW data center build-out in India
                                      • "As part of its Q2 2025 results this week, Tata Group’s technology unit Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced plans to launch a new business entity to develop 1GW of “world-class” AI data center capacity in India." [DCD - 20251016]
